Stackpole International – Global Headquarters, Ancaster, Ontario
Stackpole International is a premier global automotive supplier with operations in North America, Europe, Asia, and Turkey. Stackpole manufactures innovative engine and transmission pumps and powder metal components to the global automotive marketplace.
We provided the detailed design of mechanical building services including: all plumbing; sprinkler systems; and HVAC, for a 60,000 SF expansion to the Powder Metal Division Ancaster (PMDA) production plant. Notably, a semi-displacement ventilation system was designed for the main production area complete with four heat recovery rooftop units capable of 86% heat recovery during winter design day operations. The design solution provides ventilation air to production workers at the floor level occupied zone of the 33’ high manufacturing area.
Niagara Recycling Centre , Niagara Falls, Ontario
The Niagara Recycling Centre is the main recycling facility in the Niagara Region.
We provided mechanical engineering services and redesigned the HVAC system for the sorting facility. The general scope of work was to replace the existing air conditioning units and condensing units. Limitations in the original configurations dictated that we provide conceptual sketches of 2 arrangements and a draft report including options and alternatives with pros and cons for each. These findings dictated the final design approach.
The Canadian Centre for Inland Waters, Hamilton Ontario
The CCIW facility accommodates Environment Canada (EC), the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, the Canadian Coast Guard, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The Wastewater Technology Centre (WTC), a separate research building within the overall CCIW campus, receives raw wastewater from the Halton Skyway Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1125 Lakeshore Road in Burlington for GE Water Membrane Technology Research.
We were engaged to study the existing sanitary discharge provisions and provide multi-disciplined services for the detailed design of new sanitary sewers and a lift station to accommodate the entire campus. The design solution eliminates a number of parallel pumping challenges and accommodates the flows currently anticipated from the WTC research activities.
Vineland Research and Innovation Centre, Vineland Station, Ontario
Vineland Research and Innovation Centre is a world-class research centre dedicated to horticultural science and innovation.
We performed Mechanical & Electrical Design Services c/w Contract Administration of the Fume Hood Installation and an extensive re-design of the Boiler system. This included providing design and plans of the natural gas, hydronic piping, make up water, expansion tank, drains, combustion air & venting, balancing provisions, and controls.
